Thank you so much for your e-mail.
I know you understand how difficult it is for the newly bereaved as Christmas approaches, and your kind and thoughtful words were much appreciated.
We’re at L’s, S’s youngest daughter, for Christmas Day, I’m sure I’ll be surrounded by warmth and affection as we take time over Christmas to remember S as you suggest. The day will inevitably be tinged with tears and sadness because for the first time she herself will not be there. Although in each of our hearts, of course she will be.
In closing therefore, may I take this opportunity to thank you once again for all that you did to make her funeral so perfect. Everyone who attended said it was a wonderful occasion and was exactly what S would have wanted.
I do hope that you and yours have a Merry Christmas, and that the year ahead will be a happier one for us all.
Warmest regards,
T
